My best friend!

Her name is Mary. I always meet her in my home every day. She lives in Porto Alegre in Camaquã. She's very friendly and lovely. She's a comercial representive, she started to work at sixteen. She has also worked as a civil servant. Today she loves this job for it is very interesting. I see my friend at lunch. She is important to me because I can trust her and tell her my secrets. She's very intelligent, careful, true, beautiful. She sometimes is very quiet, she is generally wonderful. She is very like myself. She is thin, long hair and tall.

The origin of my family!

My family is very big. My great-grandmother was Italian and my great-grandfather was Spanish. They lived in Uruguay and had a farm. They were very hard-working. Everybody grew vegetables and fruit and also raised animals. Today my grandmother is ninety years old. She's very old, but she is very caring for my relatives. They like her because she used to be a very friendly partner when engaged in their activities. I like the story of my family and mine too. I sometimes see my photographs and I remember very special moments. Then I think to myself for some minutes how happy I am, I love my family an its origins.

Why I love to learn English?

I like to learn English because it is a universal language. The people who speak and write well in this language, have the most opportunities in the job market. I'm studying to be an English teacher. I always dream of traveling to either Canada or Australia. At the moment I'm studying at Ritter dos Reis. I love to listen to cd's and pratice conversation and study grammar. The English language offers many working opportunities. For example: executive secretary, English teacher , translator, flight attendant etc.
